There
are many programs and types of software available for designing
websites. Some are extremely simple to use while others are very
complex and difficult to learn.
The
programs that are quick and easy to learn are also very limited
in the features they offer because the programmers who created them
are trying to make them as simple as possible.
The
more complex programs have a steeper learning curve, which can be
daunting to newbies, but they also offer a greater amount of options
and flexibility in designing websites. Usually these programs can
be used minimally, which would almost put them at the level of the
more simple programs. Then, as your expertise increases you can
begin to learn some of the more complex features.
Whichever
program you decide to use, remember none of them are perfect. They
all have flaws which you may need to work around.
Also,
none of them are going to do all the design work for you. That's
like expecting a hammer and saw to build a house for you. They're
only tools and how well they work depends on whether they're a good
fit for you or not.
Many
of the website design programs and software offer free trials which
you can download and try out to see if they'll work well for you.
Take advantage of these offers. It may save you much grief and $$$
by keeping you from buying a program that's wrong for you.
