About
Do It Yourself Websites
After
eleven years of website design I've decided it's time to hang up
my website hat and focus on other business ventures.
During
all these years of website work, including a few years of teaching
classes in building websites, I've gained a HUGE amount of knowledge
about website design and I hate to see it all just disappear. So
I created this website for the purpose of helping those who are
just starting out with their business and their website.
Building
a website can be confusing to anyone who is just starting their
foray into the World Wide Web. The Resources
and Tools on this website are
specifically chosen by me to be the easiest to use and are from
the most reliable sources. I've even included a Glossary,
because learning about websites means learning the language, too.
In
the Helpful Articles section
of this website you'll find information on every aspect of website
design you need to get you started, from choosing a domain name
to optimizing your website for the search engines.
Keep
in mind this is a website for beginners, or newbies as they're called
in techie talk. Advanced techniques, such as CSS, Javascript, ASP,.
mySql and others are not addressed here. There are plenty of resources
for that when you get to that point... and you will.
